Veggie
I want to give up eating meat. I have long been uncomfortable with the idea of killing something just so I can have it on my plate. To take the life of a living thing just because I fancy a bit of its body, grilled and sizzling for my tea, seems just plain wrong. What is worse, I don’t even believe that we really have the right do that anyway.Unfortunately my love of a pork pie and a pickled onion will always get in the way. What is more, I suspect it always will.
What he said.Rosie Thomas - Much Farther to Go
Apparently Hugh Grant attacked a photographer with a tub of beans recently (link). Now I think the celebrity-paparazzi-magazine-paper thing is a big mess of a vicious circle that I try to avoid.
That said, apparently Grant asked the photographer if he had children and when he said he had two, he claims Grant said “i hope they die of fucking cancer”. Anyway, the photographer is quoted as saying in reply “That really upset me because I think everyone can relate to cancer and it’s not a nice thing to say.” (?!)
He added but it’s not mentioned in the article
“Also i think famine is really nasty and people can relate to being hungry and being hungry isn’t nice. Also i believe in world peace and that I hope our troops come home safe. Did i mention I hopped around on one foot for Comic Relief. Good honest bloke me.”
Load a rubbish. Why don’t we ignore the premier, watch the film if we want and pretend they aren’t there?

Songs with clapping are great (see also)
Yoga this morning. Spinning was kinda of horrible. When the session is 45minutes long and after 5 minutes you feel a little queasy and want to stop, you know the other 40minutes are going to be long. Roll on next week then…

I think the reason I don’t like watching tv is the adverts. We don’t have a Sky+ type affair where so long as you offset any viewing by a small amount you can fast forward the adverts. Still, it’s horrid to have to stop and wait for the programme to come back on. You’re watching tv on your own, what are you supposed to do in the meantime? Write a haiku, get a tattoo, build a small tent. Well you channel surf don’t you and then it’s a pain. I say this because i was watching the final episode of the second series season of Prison Break and I get the ads cut out for me and so it skips straight to the next scene and it’s there before you know it and I don’t think i really like that. On account, you need that little bit of tension? I know i’m contradicting myself. Still, the American programmes will surely have American advert timings in? I don’t know.
