A week of supply

Where to start.

A mixed 5 days in a whole range of schools this week.

There were times where I felt like I wasn’t really in control and times where I felt like I realised why exactly I love teaching primary aged children. There were times where the TA took control of basic tasks – sometimes they do and I feel it’s best to let them and times where the TA intervened. There were schools where I was shown around and made to feel welcome and times when I shown the classroom and left to my own devices. Times where I asked once and times where I kept asking. Times where I felt like I made a difference and times when I felt like I couldn’t see how I might. Schools I would love to have to work in and schools I would have to give some thought to working in – there’s such a massive range of factors that influence those thoughts. It’s ironic then, that it a decision you make in seconds. Some schools, places, people, children, atmospheres and environments that just ‘fit’.
