Merry Christmas Manchester (by OmarC)

Still, not completely in the Christmas spirit. I mean I’ve sung my first Christmas song (Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer), had my first mince pie, seen some Christmas trees and bought my first present. Just, not there yet.

So, Jane and I caught a taxi into town and went to the Christmas Fair in front of the town hall in Manchester. It’s set up as this mass of little stalls – though to be fair we didn’t see much of it. We got as far as deciding we didn’t want mulled wine before having a couple of drinks and a chat. (The Hydes dark beer was AMAZING.) Which was just nice. The fair was busy without being too busy. I would go so far as to say that it was bustling. I really quite liked it. After that, we didn’t actually venture into the market instead we went straight across the road and had Thai. Had a chat and I sat I wondered how much the couple next to use were listening into our conversation – the wonders of the canteen style seating.

Time flies when you’re having fun.
