A list

I said I would write something. So I will. Been an up and down week, thankfully ending on a euphoria-inducing high note.

I’m going to do it in list form and haven’t thought it through, we’ll see how it turns out.

  • coffee from a cafetiere
  • staying in bed till 1 (with a trip to the shop for coffee and muffins)
  • the bouldering going all kinds of right today – pleased with so many different aspects.
  • the green route in the upstairs room – the reach across to green and then having enough to sort my feet out and go for the final hold before having a solitary fist pump. SO pleased with that.
  • completing a lot of different routes, some with help from other people, so incredibly satisfying to complete a route that takes a while to do.
  • having a couple of routes I’m working on – including a nervy route where you end up with your back parallel with the floor.
  • going back to supply and forgetting how fun, infuriating, forgetful it can be. Sometimes the next day I’ve forgotten where I was the day before.  5 schools in 4 days.
  • Realising the amount of work a teacher has to do. Still being conflicted about whether that’s what I want. There are elements of teaching I love, that fill me with a contentment that I can’t imagine I’d get in other jobs and there are elements that make me wish I worked in an office at a desk.
  • Trying to eat healthier then I have before, more fruit and veg especially – not the cheapest to buy £1 packs of fruit from ASDA but it’s convenient to have a lunchtime. Plus buying mixed veg in packets too, just convenient. Especially when cooking for one.
  • Had someone look at my knee and now have some exercises to work on it.
  • Still making sure I either hang up what I’ve been wearing or sticking it in the wash basket.

This quote

How do you spend your time?  Time management doesn’t mean running around like a nut doing twenty things at once.  True time management means actually spending as much of your time as you can doing those things you want to do rather than activities you don’t care about.  It involves clarifying your values, deciding what’s important, and working to spend your time doing that.
