Chainless uni-tasking.
This week has been relatively uneventful, I’ve continued with not shopping at any chain stores. What this has turned out to mean is that I’ve don’t go food shopping at ASDA or pop to the Tesco Express for a few bits and pieces.
In practice it’s meant a few things, my lunches are different as the local shop didn’t have multi-packs of crisp or Tracker bars. I’ve largely substituted those things with fruit but am aware I could probably add some nuts to that mix. Evening meals have been the same really, as I still had meat that I had in the freezer and a few bits and pieces in the cupboard for noodles. Though yesterday I had a spinach and chick pea calzone from the Unicorn Co-operative 5 minutes up the road, that I had with cous cous. I also bought a mexican chilli pasty and will be having that tomorrow. I also, finally, walked up the late night ice cream place opposite said cooperative and discovered that 2 scoops is just short of enough to get home.
Anyway, my main problem is that there are things that I just can’t get in the local shops. So the option of going to both is likely a bit of a pain. Combined with the fact that buying for one is a pain.
Still, I already have plans for next weeks tast.
(Let’s not mention the uni-tasking, I’m chatting on Facebook, have half an eye on Twitter and Googling song lyrics while listening to The Still – Logic Will Break Your Heart.)
Images are strong, impulses are strong
And logic will break your heart forever, be brave
