Rock Over Climbing

First time at the new dedicated bouldering centre in Manchester today. Wandered down today as it’s only £3.50 before 2. Few initial thoughts.

1. The walls got mucky quickly.
2. Higher then I’m used to, the wall on the left in the photo is maybe 1m or so higher. It’s enough to suddenly make routes just a little nervy. I liked it.
3. No idea where to start. The place is pretty massive. There’s a long corridor behind the comp wall to the right and maybe the same as you can see around to the left. Suddenly you’ve got all this choice around, today I managed to do some nice easy bits but also found a few things I need to work on. Plus a few routes that took me a few tries.
4. I’m feeling it more then after a session bouldering at MCC – but I don’t know why.
5. Really quiet today, will be interesting to see what it’s like in the evenings.
