Sure, there are some people who are single because they are attached to a semi-consumerist fantasy of romantic perfection, but most of the singletons i know are lovely, complicated people who have suffered from shyness, bad timing, genuinely difficult dating pools, bad luck in previous relationships, and yes, their own emotional issues. I know all this can be a drag for people who’re happily matched themselves and wish everyone would just get with the program, but in real life, many people find this shit hard

I think dating would be a lot easier for me if I was an attractive professional poker player with a regular newspaper column and my own successful TV/radio quiz.
Says the slightly bitter single guy.
(Naomi Cleaver is still far nicer anyway)
