fb/twitter

Sure I prefer Twitter over Facebook but the problem is I can cope just fine without one but not without the other. I say I can’t cope without it and I mean, it’s just a pain in the derriere not being on it for a few reasons. One of which is that in my circle of friends where I live it’s not really that no one tweets it’s that Facebook is IT.

Sample conversation from yesterday:

Me: “So what’s the plan for next weekend? What time are we leaving?”
Them: “Errr I sent a message to everyone.”

Facebook isn’t even explicitly mentioned. However, it is in the hundred other times people talk about getting in touch.

I feel like, for me, Twitter is nice and all but it’s not really all too functional. (I appreciate that that’s entirely different for other people.) Facebook is horrible in all sorts of ways but, for my circle of friends and a huge number of people now it’s how people communicate. So you’re either using it, or you’re out of the loop.
