In a nutshell

It’s the new year, a little under two weeks off. It’s felt like longer. We broke up and then suddenly I was at Chris and Jenn’s new place eating duck, which is easily the best of all the places they’ve lived in together.* Then I was around Gloucester again and it’s the same as it ever was largely, still always feeling like home. This place you just sort of know. I had Blue Thai Kitchen with little brother and dinner with the Taylors.

Then I was at the Thorogood’s in Chepstow, after a lovely drive down. Arrived to lots of presents and wrapping paper everywhere. Then we went on an expedition and we climbed over bushes and up vertical faces to get to the road and from there onto the car. Sarah cooked a HUGE piece of beef and we had pigs in blankets and the first of many crackers. So, I felt a bit poorly and had lots of paracetemol and sleeps on the sofa and watched a whole of t.v. and went on more walks. We went and saw more family in Glascoed and built a snowman and walked up a hill and had a snowball fight. Then back to eat food and a bit more trifle. Then suddenly it was Tuesday and I was back in Gloucester for a night a bit of a day and saw Joey again and bought a hoody and saw Alex and then was suddenly back in a Manchester. To spend time, not doing much. More recovering and reading on my Kindle (which is awesome, apart from not being able to read library downloads) and listening to a whole lot of Beach House.

And now, tomorrow is back to work and it feels like I’ve not really recovered but I don’t really mind. I do know that I’m bored being poorly. Ready to stop eating chocolate and start being vain again.

* I mean, I had to have a think about it and Jenn did ask me when I got there and then during the night and in the morning I realised I liked it best. Amity Court was nice but that was about it and there’s just something about flats (I mean apartments). Then there was the midget house in Tibberton, which was just a bit small (standing around in the kitchen was a nightmare) and everything was low. Plus there was that time that the man tried to block me in and Chris managed to squeeze my car out and then he came out and was like ‘how did that happen?!’. Which was funny. Most recently was Tiree Avenue and it just seems that the new place in Gloucester is just all round nicer, I prefer the lounge-diner a whole lot more and the kitchen just needs somewhere to sit and it’ll be done!
