How many of you are doing just like your parents did? Were you raised in a house where physical activity for fun was the norm? Or were you steered toward focusing on other pursuits or talents?
We make our decisions every day, and we set our kids and loved ones on decision pathways. Think about what was handed to you — and what you’re handing to others. Are you okay with that? If not, change it.
I’m trying to think about the first question. Well, I’m obviously teaching but as for the second question… I’ve always exercised but never felt that I was pushed into it. Now, I’m just happy doing it and glad I am.
As for the second bit, there was that post I put up recently relating to stopping yourself saying ‘I can’t’ and the impact that has on you. I never really considered how what you do would impact on other people, or how what you say and how you say it would affect them.
I’m aware that I am thinking about how I phrase things, being more decisive!
Me, decisive!
