I am awesome!

Today at Crossfit we were doing push press and aiming for a 5 rep max – so you could do 5 of them in a single go.

First 3 were fine.

Then I went up to 55kg, first couple were a ‘ok’. Third one I chinned myself as I lifted the bar from on my shoulders to an overhead position. Completely threw me. Managed to keep the bar from hitting the floor and could taste the blood from my lip. The 4th rep was a struggle and the 5th rep just didn’t happen. It was just I had 1 more set to go…

So wandered around a bit, tried not to think about it too much but really struggled. Didn’t really want to do that last set. Talked to Karl about technique and then someone said ‘go on, you can do it’.

Got under the bar and did all 5 with the whole gym watching and cheering.

It was awesome.

I was awesome. I got back on that horse – and lifted it over my bloody head.

Awesome.
