Weekends are awesome.

(Don’t tell anyone but sometimes you can really get loads done in a weekend! It’s true! You can do lots of things and yet still feel ready to hit Monday running.)

This weekend was awesome because – in no particular order and with one eye on my fading battery. 

• Spending time with mum and close family.
• 4 planes
• 4 countries – UK, Denmark (airport), Poland, Germany (airport)
• A lovely wedding. 
• Where the amount of (free) alcohol kicking about was ridiculous but where it din’t manage to descend into carnage.
• I didn’t drink though and am slowly settling into being content with that.  
• Not being hungover.
• So much food. Awesome breakfasts (see below), dinners and a buffetts (first at 10pm and then 2 whole turkeys at 2am). 
• The wedding cake coming out to music from Star Wars – not sure why this doesn’t happen more often frankly. 
• Walking along a beach, in a foreign country on Saturday morning. 
• Sitting and watching the world go by on Saturday afternoon.
• Being disconnected for a whole weekend. Loving it. 
• Sitting and reading my book regularly. 

Awesome.
