Hospitality

Was a bit apprehensive about going to Hospitality at The Warehouse Project on Saturday. It’s been a while since I’ve been clubbing and there’s now a part of me that thinks standing in a dark, sweaty hot room, with loud music at 3am just isn’t fun any more.

Yes, I’m getting old.

Regardless, after I suggested to Joe and Kemela we go and they actually said yes I was sort of obliged to and as we were getting ready to go out and I started to feel tired it appeared like it was going to be a case of geting there and then spending time looking forward to leaving.

Thankfully, that didn’t turn out to be the case. It was noisy, sweaty, claustrophobic and everyone looked ‘really’ young, yeah I really liked it. After an ok start, it picked up when Camo and Krooked played an awesome live set and then London Elektricity mixed things up a whole lot. I was reminded why I always put dancing to drum and bass whenever I write a list of things that I like to do. Something about it, the constant beat. So. Good. We rolled home about 4am.

Wouldn’t want to do it every weekend any more but every now and then it’s nice to be reminded of what it’s like.
