About me.

My name’s Omar and as I write this my greatest fear is that the person reading this is a future employer. The fear is there is something I do on the internet that will impact on my employment prospects. I don’t mean illegal things, I mean me. Of course putting things on the internet you have to self-edit, you just do. Never the less, I continue to put things online because that is how I choose to express myself. So if you are a future employer, this website represents other parts of who I am. And if you choose to be influenced by this, then perhaps I’m not right for the job anyway.

Things I like include: Guinness, redheads, postcards, dark chocolate, swings, small or empty cinemas (the idea that you get a better experience from a full cinema is rubbish) and films that make me feel alive (I need it to be something real, fluffy perfect romances aren’t for me). Staring out of the windows of moving vehicles, honesty, Bill Hicks, portrait photographs and dancing to drum and bass. Soft accents, bouldering, vanilla tea and being indoors when it rains. Late nights, early mornings and listening to single songs incessantly.

It’s January 2008, mum and dad are on the verge of emigrating to Mauritius and I am now an apprentice teacher looking for a job. As much as I ever have in the past, I am moving forward.

Hey I’m from zbq, I was wondering if I could use your flickr photo of you in your vampire in paris shirt for the site. Thanks!
