French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot creates works by drawing on the rhythms of daily life to produce sound in unexpected ways.
For his installation in The Curve, Boursier-Mougenot creates a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other musical instruments. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape.

The woman at my polling place asked me do I believe in equality for gay and lesbian people. I was pretty surprised to be asked a question like that. It made no sense to me. Finally I asked her: what do you think I fought for in Omaha Beach?

Little independent cinema in the city centre a lot like the Showroom in Sheffield.

Anyway, what I wanted to write about was the VW ‘idents’ that they are showing in independent cinemas. Think Orange phone adverts but nicer. Featuring actual people. I just really liked it. Anyway here’s the first one…
